ELA

·        Sequence of Events

·        Formulating questions and answers to prove that we are understanding the text

·        We will be revisiting Me on the Map and creating a class book on where we fall on our street, city, state and country.

Important Information

Starting on Friday we will start Show and Tell! We are all very excited!

I am asking for your amazing help to please make sure that the items that are brought in on Friday are not fragile and are items that can easily fit in their backpacks. I asked them to try to bring in a fun toy to share. Thank you for all of your support! Have an amazing week!

Social Studies

• Gizmo on the Solar Eclipse - A Gizmo supports our Educational Standards and allows us to learn in an interactive and fun way using technology and hands on learning.We will be using explorelearning.com 
• Read Me on the Map
• Recognizing and pointing out where we are in comparison to the whole world. 
• We will be exploring and using our map skills

Exploration of : Why are maps used? Who needs maps? Where am I on the map?

Math 

• Use repeated addition to show the relationship between multiplication and addition

Leadership

• Recognition of what we can do to have a Growth Mindset. 
• Recognizing our goals and when we move away from them 
• Learning from our mistakes

Important Information

Please make sure you see your child's reading level and their point goal for this 1st trimester.A sheet was sent home early this week on Tuesday in your child's green folder. 

Their Leader Log is being sent home on a daily basis letting you know how they were a leader and where they were on the clip chart by the end of the day. 

Assessment Data Log - A log that will be sent home on a monthly basis with your child's assessment scores from our online Pearson Program.The 1st Assessment Data Log will be gong home on 09/01.

Great 1st Day!/ Día increíble

Thank you for your amazing support! It was great getting to meet many of you!
In your child's backpack you will find a green folder and an information letter. The letter is for you to keep,I do ask that you please make sure that the green folder is returned to school, as it will be used for homework.I would also like to remind you of our Back to School Night where you will be receiving more information about this year as well as passwords and usernames for you to use with our Renaissance Learning Program.

En la mochila de su hijo/a encontrará una carpeta verde y una carta informativa. La carta es para que usted la guarde, le pido que por favor asegúrese de que la carpeta verde sea devuelta a la escuela, ya que será usada para la tarea. También quisiera recordarle  de nuestra Noche de Regreso a la Escuela donde usted va ha obtener más información sobre este año, así como contraseñas y nombres de usuario para que los utilice con nuestro Programa de Aprendizaje de Renacimiento.
